Dusty Pink Bomber Jacket

Welcome to a new segment on Fashionable Frank, “Every Man Must Have…” – the concept is to provide an Essentials guide to what “Every Man Must Have…” in my humble opinion. This is a curated collection just for you. Kicking things off is the Dusty Pink Bomber Jacket from Zara. Pink is THE colour of Spring Summer 2017 in particular the Dusty Pink Tone. For a refresh on what is going to be HOT in SS17 read my blog post, aptly named…..”What To Wear For Spring Summer 2017

Dusty Pink Zara Man Bomber Jacket

Apart from being forecasted as one of THE colours of Spring Summer 2017 there are a number of reasons why should go consider going Pink. Pink is a colour often underused and criminally underated in Menswear in particular the lighter tone of today’s subject The Dusty Pink Bomber Jacket. Pink is a colour complements most men in particular those with darker features. Choosing a Pink piece for your wardrobe will offer a contrast while also acting as your statement piece – two birds, one stone! In case you are wondering what is a statement piece? It is just the focal point of your outfit. In case our Dusty Pink Bomber Jacket!

One of my suggested purchases from my “What To Wear For Spring Summer 2017” post was the Dusty Pink Zara Bomber Jacket. A bargain at only €50 too! I wanted to present a Masculine, Street Style inspired outfit to appeal to every man. According to my research (conducted after the photoshoot) when Pink is combined with Black it is associated with eroticism and seduction (now I think of it, there was a lot more eyes on me that day :-p). Are you single? Wear Pink and Black and tell me how you get on? Drop me a line at fashionablefrank@gmail.com.

Time for some trivia, folks. Pink was originally considered a Masculine colour, in fact Blue was a feminine colour. As late as the 1920s Men regularly wore Pink. Pink along with Red (red being more dominant) were considered to be “war like” colours! Pink is also associated with health and youth.

My outfit is inspired by the simple combination of Pink and Black. The Dusty Pink Bomber Jacket is a statement piece so it takes centre stage. I love wearing shirts so my black River Island floral print is layered underneath. You can swap out the shirt for a basic black shirt or a tee. White would work well too. Every Man needs a pair black ripped skinny jeans in his wardrobe in my humble opinion, they will go with absolutely everything! A pair of Grey Chelsea Boots completes the look. Even the gussets are black. I think this outfit is perfect for a night out, a date or even hopping on stage and rocking the night away.

Dusty Pink Bomber JacketWHERE TO BUY?

You can buy The Dusty Pink Bomber Jacket from the Zara website here. The other clothes I am modelling the picture are from previous seasons you can easily swap out the print shirt for a basic black denim shirt, t-shirt or white tee. I have found ripped skinny jeans alternatives from New Look and River Island for you. Grey Chelsea Boots with black gussets are a bit more difficult to find HOWEVER I have some ideas for you from Burton Menswear and River Island.
