What to wear to an engagement party

What to wear?!

The question we nearly always ask ourselves on a daily basis. Regardless of your level of interest in fashion we all want to look good. Why else would we wonder about what to wear? When it comes to events, parties even going out for dinner or nightclubs the question of what to wear usually results in a trip to the shops, browsing online for ideas, mental check lists of our wardrobes and of course trying nearly every item of clothing we have…….on! Why? We want to look good of course.

I had one such dilemma recently, in fact it was last night. My good friend invited me to his engagement party. Such a joyous occasion to be a part of! The question of what to wear to an engagement immediately entered my thoughts. I settled on a dapper outfit with a modern fresh twist. The pictures of it are from inside the house this time unfortunately. There was snow in Killarney last night!

Dress to impress!

Who goes to engagement parties, guys? W O M E N! Women who are dressed incredibly well! Women who have put a lot of thought and consideration into their outfits, accessories, hair etc the list is endless. Therefore the same about of thought should be put into our outfits then, guys?! It’s only fair! My outfit for the engagement should be suitable for your needs!

These wise words inspire my fashion. Think along these lines and you can’t go too wrong!

I settled on this killer outfit. Colour flow is important. Grey, white and black, monochrome colour palette looks good on practically every guy from blonde to black! This outfit isn’t very expensive either!

I picked up the Blazer and Waistcoat on sale from River Island. For more sale inspiration check out my tips here. The shirt is a S/S Oxford shirt from Burton. The skinny jeans are from Jack Jones. (Get a good pair of these they go with everything!) The monochrome trainers are from Primark Man (Penneys)

Frank’s Fashion Tip

If a blazer comes with a waistcoat always, always, always buy it! As you can see here when the blazer comes off you won’t disappear into a sea of white shirts. The waistcoat with a short sleeve shirt is a must have summer look. Roll up the skinny jeans and show off the “frankles” for a modern fresh twist on the jean! Don’t forget your accessories! In this case the more black the better! Remember Always Bet On Black!
