Hello and welcome! Today’s post is something I hold dear. A lot of people will be going back to college or starting Uni for the first time in a couple of weeks. It is an exciting and anxious time all rolled into one. This post is about

WHAT TO WEAR GOING TO COLLEGE?! Or Uni…

I can remember shopping for my pre college outfits (a long long time ago now!) which sparked the inspiration for this post. I have some outfit inspiration for everyone including mature students. These outfits range from sporty to the refined dresser.

SPORTS FANATIC

Capitalising on the mega popular jogger trend I have styled this all Adidas inspired outfit to appeal to the sports fanatic. I have seen the jogger trend attempted many times….attempted! This is how it is done right. Pay attention to colour flow and this look will be as rewarding as it is comfortable! My track jacket is from the Adidas Originals Beckenbauer collection and evokes memories of the 1970s. Combine with a Adidas Originals California Raglan tee for a contrast to the red. Adidas Tiro skinny joggers keeps the contrast element going and works really well with the red track jacket. White Adidas Stan Smiths complete the sporty look! Perfect for those guys who love to wear sports gear. Even for the gym. Gotta look good benching!

STREET STYLING

A street style inspired outfit is something that can be easily and inexpensively constructed. You probably own a lot of these pieces anyway. Starting off with a basic white tee from Primark for only €2.50! A grey H&M hoodie (€20) adds the street to the black River Island bomber (€30 on sale) jackets style. I styled the outfit with blue skinny jeans from New Look Men along with my trusty white Stan Smiths from Adidas Originals. A simple outfit but it looks great and you will end up with a distinction in the style stakes rocking this outfit!

STYLISH STUDENT

Being a fashion following student can seem like a hellish experience! No money and a long shopping list! If the funds are tight and you love your fashion definitely pick up a shearling collar Denim Jacket. They are going to huge this Autumn Winter! Once again this outfit is simple but stylish. Our Primark tee makes another appearance. Team with black ripped skinny jeans from River Island along with some white trainers to give an effortlessly cool appearance. In fact, it was far from effortlessly! A lot of work went in to modelling this outfit, just saying…

REFINED DRESSER

This look for a more refined dresser. Perhaps you like to dress a bit smarter around the campus or maybe you are a mature student with an established style you enjoy wearing. Or you want to update your wardrobe. Camel/ Tan is forecasted to be popular once again this season so I styled this outfit with a Harrington jacket. A Harrington Jacket is a great smart casual piece to have in your wardrobe and is perfect for transitional seasons like Autumn and Spring. They are really versatile too looking just as good with trainers as they do with brogues or chelsea boots. I have styled it a burgundy jumper to give a pop of darker colour. I picked it up from Topman. The Grey skinny jeans complete the look and keep it the Autumn Winter vibe going. Once again all these pieces are really affordable!

TOP TIP

ALWAYS bring your student card with you and ask in every high street store you go to. They might have a generous discount to offer you. Some cinemas also offer student discounts too. Flash that card like McLovin! Yeah, I’m that old!
